MO-AR TREK: A kind and encouraging word to help you face the day...

Day 6. Well folks, I was done this morning. At 6am my leg hurt so bad I couldn't imagine even walking to the car, much less running 35+ miles today.

But you know what? Some well timed and gentle encouragement can go a long way.

Not too happy about sitting at your desk this morning? That pile of laundry casting a shadow the size of Mt. Everest in your laundry room? Don't feel like getting the kids off to school today, too much on your 'busy schedule'? Daunting, isn't it?

Crew member Charlie Holyfield (pictured right, with Lauren and I) has some helpful and kind words for me, and YOU, this morning. You see, Charlie went to Vietnam several years back, during a WAR. Do you think he got a chance to quit when he didn't feel like taking on the battle that day. NO, he didn't.

Charlie's advice? SUCK IT UP, GET OUT THERE AND KICK TODAY'S ASS YOU SISSY.

MO-AR TREK CREW: Kicking the day's ASS, one day at a time.

I'm so proud of my crew - they really do kick ass!

See you down the road,

Jason

  1. Jason, you are doing awesome. I am sure most of your friends, co-workers and family are amazed at your accomplishment already. Hang in there and keep it up!!!

P.S. Wouldn't it be more motivating if you were running FROM Arkansas to St. Louis? Maybe you should start over and run the opposite direction?
